Oakville Rangers Want to Hear From You!

In 2021 when the Hockey Canada Player Pathways were implemented, Corey McNabb (Manager of Player Development for Hockey Canada) identified 3 main benefits for moving tryouts to the fall for U13 and below:

1. Give local hockey associations and parents back the summer – the season does not need to start this early only to be finished at the end of January or early in February (start later and end later).

2. Give local hockey associations a chance to get organized and begin planning.

3. The start of school year can be very stressful for young players, and they do not need hockey evaluations starting at the same time as the school year.

The below survey is meant to give the hockey community an opportunity to reflect on their experiences with fall hockey tryouts and provide their feedback and insight.  This information will then be provided to the Ontario Hockey Federation in consideration of continuing on with Fall hockey tryouts going forward.
