1. First Year Leadership Experience (Laker Leadership Programs)

The First Year Leadership Experience is designed to assist newer leaders in creating and enhancing their personal philosophy of leadership while developing basic leadership skills and learning about all of the leadership opportunities that the GVSU community has to offer.

All first year students are encouraged to be a part of this program, especially those who are interested in future leadership roles. FYLE teaches leadership through interactive activities and discussion led by student leaders and staff from the Office of Student Life. This is a great way to get acquainted with leadership in a college setting. The completion of the FYLE will make you a strong candidate for future leadership positions, as well as prepare you to take your next steps as an intermediate leader on campus.

The First Year Leadership Experience (FYLE) program consists of five one-evening per week sessions from 6:00 - 8:30 PM on GVSU's Allendale campus during the fall semester. We will meet on Tuesday nights starting, October 9th at 6:00 pm! The 5 weeks are manditory for participation in this program.

October 2, 9, 16, 23, 30
