Session II Evaluation Form
Objectives:
1. Identify the biomechanical advantages of sliding hip screw fixation versus screw fixation in patients with femoral neck fractures
2. Assess the advantages and disadvantages of total hip arthroplasty versus hemiarthroplasty in patients with femoral neck fractures
3. Assess the clinical evidence of screw fixation versus sliding hip screw fixation in patients with femoral neck fractures
4. Describe the boundaries that are associated with the Stark in-office ancillary exemption.
5. Determine how Medicare's new site neutral payment policies are affecting musculoskeletal services in a hospital-based practice.
6. Determine how physician assistants and nurse practitioners could be used in your practice to enhance patient care.
7. Determine how Texas' new telemedicine law pertains to your practice.
8. Determine whether there are significant differences in nonunion or mortality between short and long CMN.
9. Determine whether there is a significant difference in refracture rates between short and long CMN.
10. Discuss the indications for long cephalomedullary nails in hip fractures.
11. Discuss the theory behind Value-based care models and how they are being applied to musculoskeletal care in the U.S.
12. Identify the potential advantages with short CMN with regard to less blood loss and shorter operative times
13. Identify what changes, if any, will be necessary for your practice to meet health plans' changing policies for out-of-network care.
14. Master the best practice for diagnosis of proximal femur fracture associated with ipsilateral femur shaft fracture.
15. Recognize the intention and objectives of the current effort to change the incentive structure with an eye toward positioning your practice for success in the changing environment.

Target Audience: The target audience will be orthopaedic surgeons, residents, fellows, and physicians with an interest in orthopaedic treatment. Athletic trainers, coaches, and orthopaedic clinic administrators/technical staff may also be interested in the program.
