A. PEAKCARE'S PRIORITIES

* 1. Re: Submissions
During 2018-19, PeakCare ‘formally’ lodged 8 submissions with various entities such as Federal and State Parliamentary Committees.  These submissions were about new or proposed amendments to legislation, or inquiries into various systems or changes in government policy directions.

On a scale of 1 to 5, where 1 is ‘not a priority’ and 5 is a ‘high priority’, how would you rate the level of priority that PeakCare should assign to producing and lodging submissions?

* 2. Re: Conferences, symposiums and other professional development initiatives
During 2018-19, PeakCare hosted or co-hosted with other organisations 9 conferences, symposiums or similar events. PeakCare also initiated the Hope and Healing e-learning program for Queensland residential care workers with around 5,500 workers and their supervisors having now completed or in the process of completing the training.

On a scale of 1 to 5, where 1 is ‘not a priority’ and 5 is a ‘high priority’, how would you rate the level of priority that PeakCare should assign to hosting conferences, symposiums and similar events, and initiating other learning and professional development opportunities?

During 2018-19, PeakCare was regularly represented on 8 Government initiated committees such as the Child Protection Stakeholder Advisory Group chaired by the Child Safety Department’s Director-General, and participated in a further 29 Government initiated ‘once-off’ consultation workshops or similar forums.

PeakCare leads, co-leads or participates in various committees or forums that have either been initiated by PeakCare (such as PeakCare’s Research Group) or forums initiated by others (such G-Force and the Quality Collaboration Network).
