2019 MI Family Medicine Conference & Expo Call for Presenters

Thank you for your interest in presenting at the 2019 Michigan Family Medicine Conference & Expo to be held August 1-4 (Thursday-Sunday) at Shanty Creek Resort in Bellaire, MI. So that we may meet timelines associated with CME approval and promotional efforts, your completed presentation submission must be received no later than November 19, 2018.
SESSION ELIGIBILITY

Presentations conducted by Family Physicians and associated experts are most welcome! Interactive sessions that include open discussions, hands-on activities and/or demonstrations are always well-attended and are encouraged. Submissions should include current topics of interest and new studies, technologies and/or procedures.

In compliance with the Continuing Medical Education (CME) guidelines, this presentation submission must identify a professional gap, a needs assessment, learner objectives, and complete speaker information.

SPEAKER RESPONSIBILITIES

It is the responsibility of the speaker to submit a session proposal in its entirety. In addition, the speaker must:
  • Provide Family Medicine Foundation of Michigan with the full name, professional title, designation/degree, address, email, and phone number for all speakers involved in the presentation.
  • Provide the professional gap, needs assessment, learner objectives, and a 2-5 sentence summary about the presentation for inclusion in registration information and on-site materials should the course be selected.
  • Agree to provide a photo of all session presenters (professional head shot, high resolution, full color, .eps or jpg)
  • Ensure content validation.
  • Ensure the absence of commercial bias.
  • Ensure that all necessary forms and materials are completed and submitted to the MAFP Foundation by the designated deadlines, including a Speaker Agreement, head shot/photo, Conflict of Interest form, a brief bio, and Presentation materials.
  • If there is more than one presenter for this session, Speaker #1 becomes the primary with contact for a group and is expected to assure all group members are updated on session-related matters.
  • Ensure that all who have collaborated with you on content is clearly identified so that we may collect a Conflict of Interest form from that/those individual(s).
