‘Science Fair meets Shark Tank’ in this innovator competition staged April 2 through April 11, 2016 in downtown Marquette, Michigan. Entrepreneurial competitors will create an expression of their business idea to be displayed in venues throughout Marquette's Downtown District. The contest will award a minimum of $20,000 in prize money to great business or product ideas. In addition to juried prizes, there is a Crowd Favorite category with a minimum purse of $2,000 that allows onlookers to vote and determine the most popular exhibit. The event concludes with SmartSummit, a two-day educational and networking opportunity on April 11 and 12, 2016, and wraps up with the SmartPrize Award Banquet.
Deadline to register: March 15, 2016.
Exhibitors must set up their displays in the SmartPrize District by 6pm Friday, April 1, 2016, but do not need to be present during the 10-day event. The event kicks off with SmartWalk beginning at noon on Saturday, April 2 and ends at 6pm Monday, April 11.Exhibitors will have an opportunity to pitch their idea to the judges panel on Monday, April 11 at 3:30pm. Prizes will be awarded on Tuesday, April 12 at 6pm at the SmartPrize Award Banquet at SmartSummit.

Becoming a SmartPrize Exhibitor is a great way to bring attention to your business or product concept or expansion idea and potentially gain financial backing. Your idea will be in front of bankers, angel investors and venture capitalists. Hundreds of spectators from around the Midwest will come to Marquette to vote for Crowd Favorite, adding to your idea's viability in the marketplace.

Your inclusion as an Exhibitor is confirmed when you've been accepted as a SmartPrize Exhibitor, contracted with a Venue and paid a $50 participation fee.
