The AASL Status of Staffing of School Libraries Task Force has been asked to collect data related to current school library staffing levels and school librarian roles/responsibilities. This survey is intended to collect data from an individual school library program- if you are currently serving more than one school please fill out a survey for each school.

This survey contains only nine (9) questions and should take no more than five (5) minutes to complete. This survey will close on March 17th, 2014. Thank you for your participation.

* 1. What grade levels does your school library program serve? (Please select both the type of school and then check the grades included. For example, if you work in an elementary school serving grades K-3 you should mark the box next to "Elementary, K, 1, 2, 3" )

* 2. What is your school's student enrollment?

* 3. How many staff members are at your building? This number should include all paid professionals including teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, etc.

* 4. What is the school library program's collection size? Please total number of books, periodical subscriptions, video materials, audio materials, etc.

* 5. What level of state certified school librarian do you have at your building? Please select all that apply including the main category and then number for each. For example, if you have two part-time you would select "Part-time, Two (2)".

* 6. In the past five years has your school library staffing changed, and if so, how?
