Scottish Libraries user survey

We’re asking you as a library user (and other users across Scotland) about how you use your local library and what difference it makes to you. The survey takes about 6 minutes. All answers are anonymous and will help shape the future of public libraries in Scotland.

Your answers will be used anonymously by Hall Aitken consultants who are carrying out this survey (www.hallaitken.co.uk). We will pass on the answers, without any information on who gave them, to the Scottish Libraries Information Council (SLIC) - a Scottish Government supported agency that works to support all library services across Scotland.
1.Which library service do you mainly use? (please tick one)(Required.)
2.How often do you use a public library, in person or online?(Required.)
3.Why did you use the library today, or the last time you used it? Please tick all that apply
4.To what extent do you agree with the following statement: The library provides access to reliable, trusted information which helps people make decisions(Required.)

11.Please tell us about any changes you've noticed in the role the library plays in your life over the past five years. These could be positive or negative changes, or anything else you'd like to share.
12.It would help us to know a bit about you - if you are happy to tell us, please tell us the following three questions about yourself (just leave blank if you don't want to share the information)
13.And which of the following options most closely aligns with your gender?
14.And finally, would you describe yourself as having a disability?
Thank you very much for your time. Your answers will help with evaluating Scotland's libraries strategy and to help plan for the future. We'll feed your opinions back anonymously.

Thanks again, Hall Aitken
