Description: Identify and post volunteer opportunities throughout the New England area

Time commitment: Monthly (2hrs-5hrs)

Description: Lead a dine around with fellow members in your area

Time commitment: one-time.... that's it

Description: Looking for members who want to plan a raffle and trivia night.

Time commitment:2-4 hrs a month for 3-4 months

Why should you chose this position? Have Fun!!! Enhance and showcase your event planning skills. Creative - opportunity to be creative and bring "the fun" to the chapter. Opportunity to utilize persuasion and marketing skills.

Description: Lead a tour of your library or information center

Time commitment: one-time.... that's it

Description: Person willing to present to members "Best Practices for LinkedIn." Write a post or present or both.

Description: Chair leads effort to inform members of benefits and recruit new members. The person will also help to implement/promote national membership efforts. Great oppy for someone who wants to develop marketing skills.

Time commitment: 5-8hrs per month

Why should you chose this position? Be a leader. Be a communicator. You will be able to define and guide the course for how we celebrate, recruit, and retain members.

Description: Send tweets or listserv messages about a SLA benefit. Can be done a bimonthly basis.

Time commitment: Bimonthly (5min -15mins)

Description: Contact potential and lapsed members via email or phone. Can be done on a bi-monthly basis.

Time commitment: Bimonthly (up to 2hrs)

Description: Looking for a member willing to interview a member and write a brief profile for the website. Great way for a member to connect w/ a peer and learn about one's professional development.

Time commitment: Only required to write 1-2 a year.

Description: Help obtain business partners to support SLA NE programs especially mini-conference and chapter scholarships

Time commitment:1-4 hrs a month

Description: Assist the President-Elect with planning programs and activities in your geographic location. Come up with programming suggestions, identify venues, and market your program to members!

Time commitment: 2-3hrs a month

Why should you chose this position? Utilize your management and marketing skills to help with programming. Use those reference interview skills to find out what kinds of programs folks want! Creativity - opportunity to think out of the box on how to develop high quality programming.

Description: Assist chairs with scholarship selection, Day on the Job Program and other activities

Description: Help us connect with Southern Connecticut State. Commit to one meeting with students.

Time commitment: 2-4 hrs a month

Description: Work with a team to setup webinars and identify topics/presenters
