SFB: 2023-2025 SIG Call for Officer Nominations

The Society For Biomaterials is soliciting Officer nominations for all 14 SIGs.

Nominees for the 2023-2025 year term must be current SFB Members. The description of each position is listed below:

Special Interest Group Chairperson
The SIG Chairperson supervises and controls all the business of the SIG, presides at all the meetings of the members, and coordinates activities with the SIG Representative and headquarters staff. The term of office of the Chairperson is two years.
Special Interest Group Vice-Chairperson
The SIG Vice-Chairperson should become familiar with the duties of the chairperson and assist with the duties of that office. In the absence of the Chairperson, the Vice-Chairperson presides at meetings of the SIG or other functions as required and exercises the powers of the Chairperson. The term of office is two years.
Special Interest Group Secretary-Treasurer
The SIG Secretary-Treasurer is responsible for developing the yearly budget in cooperation with the other SIG Officers, for taking the minutes at the SIG meetings as needed, coordinating with headquarters staff regarding the budget process and dissemination of minutes, and in general performing all duties incident to the office of SIG Secretary-Treasurer as assigned by the Chairperson. The term of office is two years.
Special Interest Group Program Chair
The Program Chair of the SIG should become familiar with the programs, publications, and activities of the Society and represent the interests of the SIG in performing all duties necessary for program planning procedures and publications. The term of office is two years.
