Hello!
We're a group of SKAM fans in the US and Canada. We want to make a new SKAM adaptation, made in English and set in the United States (probably Hawaii, but exact location TBD).
To get things started, we’ve been talking to the rights owners for SKAM in USA/Canada, and the response has been great: they're open to adapting the show with us!
We believe that SKAM’s values/themes/ideas are important. It’s a confusing time to grow into yourself, especially in the United States in 2026. We plan to create a realistic, grounded series about growing up that counters the fucked up messages that young people are exposed to on social media and IRL.
The next step involves you. You are likely a SKAM fan, and before we start trying to make a new version of the show, we'd love to ask you some questions, so we can learn whether you would be excited about a new adaptation set in the USA in 2026, and if so, what's important to you.
