Accessibility at the Gilford Public Library

The Gilford Public Library has been selected to receive a competitive award from Libraries Transforming Communities: Accessible Small and Rural Communities, an American Library Association (ALA) initiative that provides community engagement and accessibility resources to small and rural libraries to help them better serve people with disabilities.

To learn more about how we can best serve our community in planning future initiatives, we've compiled this survey in partnership with a Community Conversation on May 31st to hear from YOU! We'd like to know how well we're currently meeting your needs, and where we could improve or provide information or resources to better serve you.

Thank you for your time in completing this survey!
1.Why is the topic of accessibility important to you?
2.What is currently working well for you at the Gilford Public Library? Ex. signage, elevator, inclusive programming, multiple publishing options (large print, audiobooks, etc.), circulation assistance, etc.
3.As a person with a disability or as an advocate for accessibility, have you had any problematic experiences involving accessing Gilford Library's website, catalog, resources, programs, or facilities?
4.If you answered "Yes" to question 3, could you describe the difficulty you experienced in accessing the library resources, programs, or facilities?
5.What changes or additions at the Gilford Library would improve your experience or be most helpful?
6.Is there anything else that you would like us to know about your experience with accessibility at the library? Do you have any additional comments or recommendations?
