The Department of Parks, Recreation, and Neighborhood Services needs help naming two new public parks! We are continuing our outreach to narrow down the names for new parks in the Japantown area and southside of San Jose.

The Japantown area park site is located midblock on north side of Sixth Street east of Taylor Street. This park plaza will pay homage to Japantown's history, include a children's playground, a public art piece, passive garden space, and picnic areas. The park is anticipated to be completed by 2022.

The southside park site is located at the southeast corner of Great Oaks Boulevard and Raleigh Road and will include picnic/BBQ areas, a playground, and shaded seating from trellises and oak trees. The park is anticipated to be completed by 2022.
