Breanna Gilbert - Director of External Affairs for KQED Silicon Valley with more than 10 years of experience in marketing, communications and brand strategy. Gilbert is a founding board member and current Vice Chair of CreaTV San Jose. Born and raised in San Jose, she currently lives in downtown.

Ed Lambert - Senior Vice President at Bridge Bank with more than 35 years of experience in local banking and finance. Currently working with start-up and technology companies and views this as a growth opportunity for Downtown San Jose. Lambert previously served on the SJDA board from 1989-91.

Katia McClain - Northern California Managing Principal for Steinberg. With over 20 years of experience, McCain leads a team of architects, interior designers, and planners specializing in civic, education, and multi-family residential and mixed-use projects. McClain is an active member of AIA Santa Clara Valley and the Women in Architecture Committee.

Julie Riera Matsushima* (Director since 2015) - Retired local entrepreneur and community activist and volunteer who resides in downtown San Jose. Currently serves on the SJDA Board of Directors; Chair, SJC Airport Commission; Rotary Club of SJ Board of Directors and Past-President; Levitt Pavilion Steering Committee; St. James Park Advisory Board; SCCOE Inclusion Collaborative Advisory Board; PATH Advisory Board; and Paseo Villas HOA Board of Directors. Matsushima is an advocate for children with special needs and was the founder of the San Jose Rotary PlayGarden.

Chris Neale - Executive Vice President of The Core Companies, holding company to Core Homes, Core Affordable, Core Residential, and Core Builders, Neale is responsible for the full spectrum of Core’s development activities including acquisition, entitlement, financing and construction. Immediate past President of SJDA 2014-15, Neale is a member of the Executive and Finance committees.

Nick Nichols* (Director since 2015) - Executive Director of The Tabard Theatre Company which manages Theatre on San Pedro Square. During 35 years of experience working in the non-profit performing arts sector he has held positions for San Jose Repertory Theatre, Ballet San Jose, Symphony Silicon Valley and American Musical Theatre of San Jose. Nichols has taught technical theater and design classes at San Jose State, Santa Clara University and UC Santa Cruz. He has served on the Downtown Parking Board, Chaired the San Jose Arts Roundtable and currently chairs the San Pedro Square Committee for SJDA, as well as serving on the Executive Committee. Nichols and his wife, Lina, live in the Shasta-Hanchett neighborhood of San Jose.

Dennis Randall* (Director since 2014) - Managing Director of Insight Realty Company responsible for sourcing, underwriting and executing Insight’s office/R&D platform consisting of investment, renovation and ground-up developments as well as asset management operations. Randall has over 25 years of experience in real estate development, asset management, marketing and leasing. Randall previously served on the SJDA board from 2004-09.

Michael Rewkiewicz* (Director since 2014) - Rewkiewicz is a partner of the CPA firm Frank, Rimerman +Co. LLP and works out of their downtown San Jose office. He specializes in working with Venture Funds and their portfolio companies. Rewkiewicz is a member of the Executive and Finance committees and resides in Naglee Park with his family.

Jeanne Serpa* (Director since 2015) - South Bay Municipal Relationship Manager for Republic Services specializing in community and government relations. Currently serving on the SJDA Board of Directors, trustee on the San Jose Downtown Foundation and member of the Rotary Club of San Jose. A resident of San Jose for 16 years, Serpa is married and has two children.

Marissa Silver - Manager of Community Relations for the San Jose Earthquakes, overseeing all community efforts including programming and fundraisers for the Quakes Foundation. Silver has been with the organization for more than six years, and has also sat on the board for the San Jose Sports Authority REACH scholarship program. Silver is a born and raised San Jose native.

Elizabeth Truong - Vice President of Lee’s Sandwiches Corporation of Northern California since 2004. Truong leads the expansion team, procurement team and marketing department and operates the Lee’s Sandwiches downtown location on 6th Street, which is Lee’s original location since 1983. Truong is a San Jose State University alum and proud Spartan.
