The Solano Transportation Authority (STA), in collaboration with the City of Fairfield, the City of Suisun City, and Capitol Corridor Joint Powers Authority (CCJPA), is exploring ways to improve the Solano Rail Hub station area. This area includes the Solano Rail Hub building, CCJPA/Amtrak rail passenger platforms, the bus transit plaza, the adjacent park-and-ride lot, and the nearby bicycle/pedestrian bridge crossing. The proposed project is called the Solano Rail Hub Pedestrian Crossing and Station Area Improvements Project (the Project).

Currently, the Project is in the planning phase to assess various alternatives that will create a safer, more accessible, and better designed connection between Fairfield and Suisun City by replacing the existing bicycle/pedestrian crossing over the Union Pacific Railroad tracks and upgrading the Solano Rail Hub station area.

We want your assistance in developing these alternatives. Your feedback is invaluable in helping to ensure the alternatives developed reflect the community’s values and priorities.
