Registration fee: $20 (lunch included)
North Carolina’s State Historical Records Advisory Board (SHRAB) will present a series of Getting Ready to Go workshops that help archives, libraries, historical and genealogical societies, museums, and other repositories of records and archival materials gauge the effectiveness of their internal practices, policies, and procedures when preparing to seek outside funding. Typically, private funding organizations and government granting agencies require that internal policies and practices governing the preservation of and access to the collections be in place along with evidence of institutional financial accountability. In short, GR2G workshops will prepare cultural repositories to manage their collections effectively, promote their holdings, and seek additional funding support.
