City of Shaker Heights - Chief of Police - Community Input Survey
City of Shaker Heights | Chief of Police | Community Input Survey
Recently, Shaker Heights Police Chief Jeffrey DeMuth announced he will retire in January 2023. With tremendous dedication, Chief DeMuth has served the residents of Shaker for 33 years as a member of the force, and the last six years as chief. Given Chief DeMuth’s excellent record of leadership and given that the #1 goal of City Government in Shaker Heights is to always provide superior response and service delivery, the city seeks to find the right candidate for this important position.
To that end, City Council approved the hiring of a national consulting firm, Public Sector Search & Consulting, Inc. (PSSC), to help identify well-qualified candidates for the position. PSSC seeks input from a variety of sources, including – through this survey – community members. While the mayor is the hiring authority for this post, this survey is your chance to tell the consultants the qualifications and leadership qualities you want the new chief to possess and the public safety priorities you hope the new chief will embrace. Thank you in advance for participating in this anonymous survey.
This survey will remain open to encourage input throughout the search process.
