Let's grow stronger, together: share your thoughts on the draft Strategic PlanSpruce Grove is a place people are proud to call home. It is a vibrant, active city rooted in community and full of opportunity. Council's commitment to the community is to lead responsibly, build connections, and plan for Spruce Grove's long-term success. The draft 2026-2029 Strategic Plan keeps future growth rooted in making Spruce Grove a city that feels like home – today and for generations to come.
About this planA Strategic Plan is Council's roadmap for their term of office. It guides City Administration in setting priorities, allocating resources, and making decisions that align with Council’s vision and the community’s needs. Some actions in the Plan are immediate in nature and will be completed in this Council term; others lay the foundation for future work to support sustainable growth in our community. It is a living document, reviewed regularly as our community evolves.
During the 2025 municipal election, candidates heard directly from the community about what is working, what is missing, and what matters most in our city. Those conversations became the foundation for Council's draft 2026-2029 Strategic Plan. From that community input, Council and Administration shaped four themes that reflect Spruce Grove's shared priorities:
Building Community: creating welcoming and connected neighbourhoods where people feel at home
Communications Excellence: building trust through clear, timely, and meaningful information sharing
Economic Opportunity: supporting a strong local economy that grows in step with our quality of life
Strategic Partnerships: using our voice and relationships to advocate for what Spruce Grove needs
We want to hear from you Before this plan is finalized, we want to hear from the people who live, work, and do business here. This short survey, which takes approximately 5 minutes, gives you a chance to tell us how well the draft plan reflects what matters most in Spruce Grove. Your feedback will be used to validate and refine the plan before it goes to Council for approval early this summer.
Before completing the survey, we encourage you to review the full
2026-2029 draft Strategic Plan. The more you know about the plan, the better your answers will help shape the final version.
All responses are anonymous. Results will be summarized in a 'What We Heard Report’ to be shared with Council and the community later this spring.
