Shape Next Year's Budget Priorities

In the past, the San Gabriel community has provided valuable input to assist the city in determining budget priorities. Looking ahead to the next fiscal year, our budget is estimated to be approximately $82 million, with approximately $48 million coming from the general fund.
We invite you to join us as we kick-start our six-month-long budget planning process for the fiscal year that begins on July 1, 2024. Your input is invaluable in shaping our budget priorities and contributing to the ongoing improvement of San Gabriel.
Participate in the online survey available from January 3 through January 17. The survey results will be presented to the City Council at the February 6 regular council meeting, providing essential budget direction for the upcoming fiscal year.
Our commitment to an open and transparent budget development process ensures multiple opportunities for City residents and stakeholders to comprehend the budget and express their opinions. Mark your calendar for the following public meetings dedicated to learning about and discussing the budget:
  • February 6, 2024: Public Strategic Budget Meeting and Survey Results
  • April 24 or 25: Public Budget Study Session
  • June 1, 2024: Saturday Community Budget Meeting
  • June 4, 2024: Public Hearing on Fiscal Year 2024-25 Budget
  • June 18, 2024: Continued Budget Public Hearing, if needed
