Columbia Open Studios, now in its tenth iteration presented by 701 CCA is a self-guided, weekend-long, tour of artists’ studios in the City of Columbia, Richland and Lexington Counties. The event showcases and celebrates Columbia's visual arts community. Artists keep 100% of their sales.

I have read the guidelines for 701 CCA Columbia Open Studios thoroughly.

I have a designated studio - that is a space designed and equipped specifically for my art production

My studio is in the City of Columbia, specifically in the counties of Lexington or Richland

I will receive the public in my studio during 701 CCA Columbia Open Studios

In my studio, I will be able to show the tools of my trade and relevant elements of my artistic practice/ working process.

During 701 CCA Columbia Open Studios I will show at least ten (10) works of original art produced in the past three (3) years

No more than ten percent (10%) of all art on display in my studio will be offset lithographs or other reproductions and posters; at least ninety percent (90%) of the work on display will be original art, whether unique works, or limited-edition sculptures of intaglio, lithography, silkscreen or other fine art prints.

I agree to open my studio and be present on Saturday, April 2 & Sunday, April 3

I agree to come to 701 CCA to pick up directional road signs, install them in my neighborhood prior to the event, and return the signs to 701 CCA after the event.

I understand that I will NOT have to pay any commission to 701 Center for Contemporary for art sold during 701 CCA Columbia Open Studios.

I will keep track of all visitors to my studio during 701 CCA Columbia Open Studios, including recording information about the visitors' residential zip codes, and I will keep records of my sales. I will submit attendance and sales records for 701 CCA Columbia Open Studios to the 701 Center for Contemporary Art organization by Saturday May 28, 2022 in person or via post. (Attendance and sales documentation helps 701 CCA Columbia Open Studios.)

I understand that the materials that I submit for participation in 701 CCA Columbia Open Studios will not be returned.

I understand and agree that every artist, even those who have or share studio space with others in the same building, must apply individually and pay the participation fee.

I understand that participation in 701 CCA Columbia Open Studios requires a participation fee of $50 + $25 deposit for 701 CCA members, or $100 + $25 deposit for non-members (this level comes with automatic Family Membership). I also acknowledge that 701 CCA will refund the deposit after I have submitted attendance data, including visitor's zip codes and records of sales during COS, and have returned all road signs.

By paying the Open Studios fee, I indicate that I have read, understood and complied with all that is stated in the "FAQ" and "Registration" forms for 701 CCA Columbia Open Studios. I understand that if I do not abide by what is asked of me as a 701 CCA Columbia Open Studios participant, I forfeit my ability to participate in 701 CCA Columbia Open Studios now and in the future.

I understand that on both Saturday and Sunday I am required to participate from 10 AM -6 PM on Saturday and 12-6 PM Sunday.
