Stories from the Stage Pitches

Massmouth produces Stories from the Stage in partnership with WGBH events and World Channel. Each live performance features eight amateur tellers sharing six-minute stories. The live event is filmed and edited into two Stories from the Stage television episodes, featuring three tellers each. Thank you for sharing your stories with us.

NOTE: You will need to be on set at WGBH studios in Boston from 4-10pm. If you have already appeared in a Stories from the Stage television episode, you may not pitch again at this time. However, if you performed at a WGBH live show but your story was not selected for TV, you are welcome to suggest new stories.

* 3. STORY: Write a short summary of your story that describes the arc (beginning, middle, and end) and why it is a compelling narrative. Include the tone of the story (funny, sad, sarcastic, etc...). Stories must all be true and first-person narratives. Also, they must be able to be told in 5-7 minutes. There are no exceptions. 

Each story summary should be approximately 100-200 words.
