Introduction

The Byram Township Council and Recreation Committee are conducting this survey to gauge the interest level of the public as it relates to the offering of recreation programs. A program is different from an event in that a program would be a particular area of interest and may go on for several weeks. Examples would be summer camps, yoga/fitness classes, cooking classes, and the like. The data from this survey will be used by the Council and Administration to understand the desire for these programs and to define goals and objectives for services for the upcoming budget year and subsequent budgets.

The direct costs of the programs are covered by participant fees. However, there will likely be a modest property tax increase to cover the costs of administering the programs, such as (but not limited to): administrative staffing, software and technology, scheduling, registrations, procurement, printing, marketing, and other administrative expenses that are not permitted to be covered by participant fees.
