This is a selective admissions program; this means that meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee acceptance. Applicants are evaluated based on the program's selection criteria. Candidates selected for the program will receive an acceptance email with instructions on submitting the required documentation needed to begin the program.
Major Criteria for selections:

1. Candidates who hold a CST, CSFA, or CSA credential
2. Candidates who have completed an approved ST program.
3. Candidates who have equivalent entry-level surgical technology skills such as an RN with operating room experience.
4. Candidates should have a minimum of one year of operating room experience

24.Selection Notification: The Surgical First Assistant Program is a selective admissions program. This means that meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee acceptance. Applicants are evaluated based on the program's selection criteria, and admission is offered to the most competitive applicants as space allows.

If you are new to the facility, you must obtain three letters of reference from your most recent place(s) of employment.
