About this form
The TGEU European and Central Asian Trans Council will be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, between 10 and 13 September 2026.
The volunteering opportunity is open for all TGEU members, and to promote local activist engagement, we highly encourage trans and queer people from Slovenia to get involved in the Council through this volunteer form. Compensation will be available for volunteers who are not covered by their organisations. Please note that although volunteers do not have to pay the registration fees, TGEU is not able to provide accommodation or cover the costs of transportation.

- About TGEU
TGEU is a membership-based network and represents more than 200 member organisations in 50 countries. TGEU ’s mission is to strengthen the rights and wellbeing of trans people in Europe and Central Asia. We strive to represent the diverse needs of our members within human rights mechanisms, build the capacity and skills of our members to meet the needs of local communities, and develop intersectional and decolonised programmes to build more resilient and connected trans movements.

The Council is the largest community and political gathering of trans activists in Europe and Central Asia. With around 200 participants every second year, the Council is both a forum setting the agenda for trans politics and a celebration of the trans community.
This year we are excited to welcome you to the 10th TGEU European and Central Asian Trans Council, which will be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia from 10 to 13 September. The Council will be hosted in collaboration with our local members, Legebitra and TransAkcija. In the spirit of this year’s Council theme, Transphoria: collectively resist and celebrate again and again, 200 trans activists, allies, policymakers, and donors are expected to gather as a community to celebrate our resilience and joy, share experiences, and collectively develop strategies to resist backlash and advance trans rights across the region.
