Southeast Alaska Listening Forum Registration

Dear Girl Scout Family,

The Girl Scouts of Alaska Membership Connections Committee (MCC) is tasked with holding a Regional Forum in a different area of our Council each year to allow membership, both girl and adult, to provide feedback on how our council is meeting the needs of our membership and developing ideas to help the council work better. This year, the Committee selected the Southeast region.

You are invited to the Southeast Girl Scout Listening Forum, which will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 12:30 pm to 3 pm. We will be scheduling the use of community libraries throughout Southeast Alaska on the statewide OWL (Online With Libraries) system.  We will send confirmations with final meeting locations within each community one week before the Listening Forum.

A listening forum is a gathering of people with a shared concern and investment in an organization who come together to discuss ideas and strategies for improving that organization.  All Girl Scout adult and girl members from all Southeast Alaska communities, as well as Girl Scout parents, are invited to attend the Southeast Girl Scout Listening Forum.

At the forum there will be two listening sessions on topics selected by Girl Scout members. The sessions will provide you with an opportunity to participate in a structured feedback process to guide the objectives and goals for our members. The sessions will be led by trained facilitators. The goal of these sessions is to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities of the topics we will discuss in the sessions.

The forum schedule is:
