Representing my home town in Parliament has been an honour. I will be standing for re-election this May and I’d like to know your views about what my priorities should be if I win. So please take a few moments to let me know what you would like me to focus on by completing this online survey.

Increase the amount you have to earn before you start paying the 40p rate of income tax to £50,000 (only the rich were meant to pay the 40p rate, but in recent years many middle-income people have been dragged in to it)

A new A&E department at Croydon University Hospital

Increase the personal allowance to £12,500

Improved facilities in our parks

Have a grammar school in Croydon

Build new leisure centres in New Addington and the town centre

Build starter homes that can only be sold to first-time buyers under the age of 40 and that cost 20% less than the normal market price to help young people get on the housing ladder

Have a university in Croydon

Make sure the Westfield/Hammerson redevelopment of the Whitgift Centre goes ahead

Ensure everyone can see a GP at a time that suits them seven days a week

Continue to increase the NHS budget by more than the rate of inflation every year

Create more apprenticeships that combine training with work experience and a wage to reduce youth unemployment

I work in one of the country’s most beautiful buildings. But the Palace of Westminster isn’t just for MPs - it is your Parliament. Each week, I give groups of constituents a tour of the building - you get to walk onto the floor of both the House of Commons and the House of Lords as well as seeing the Queen’s robing room and historic Westminster Hall.
