Online Harms Survey - Professionals

Thanks for considering this survey — we know these are not easy topics to work through.

This survey is here to gather both numbers (quantitative data) and personal stories (qualitative insights) about the online harms experienced by children and young people under 18 in New Zealand.

Your input will help us show the New Zealand Government the real impacts happening in homes, schools, and communities across the country as they assess how to better protect young people online. Any personal details you provide, like your email address, will stay strictly confidential. Please do not include any information that could identify the victim(s).

We kindly ask that you complete one survey for each child or young person under 18 you are currently working with, or have previously worked with, who has experienced harm.

This survey is completely anonymous. However, as part of our upcoming six-part documentary series on online harms and solutions, there’s an option at the end to leave your contact details if you’re open to being contacted.

The survey will take approximately 4-6 minutes to complete.
1.Are you based in New Zealand/were based in New Zealand at the time of the event(s)?
2.What is your role?
3.How old was the child or young person when the online harm happened?
4.What is their gender identity?
5.What ethnicity does the child or young person identify with?
