Inner West Council - Litter Prevention Strategy - Community Organisation Survey

Inner West Council is undertaking a community organisation survey to understand community attitudes towards littering in the Inner West local government area.

This project is focused on material up to the size of a shopping bag that is discarded into your local environment. This includes cigarette butts, cans, plastic items, food containers etc. Unless these are removed from the environment they will end up in our local waterways and damage local wildlife and the aquatic environment.

Council is conducting this survey to inform a business case for increasing funding to this area of Council activity so that, amongst other things, it can provide material, Council officer time and financial support to community groups that partner with Council to undertake litter reducing activities.

Council would like to ask you a few questions that reflect on the level of activity you do or are willing to take to help tackle this problem.

Please feel free to contact Emily Moore on 02 93925291 or emily.moore@innerwest.nsw.gov.au if you have any questions about the purpose of this survey.
