Thank you for your interest in serving on the Board of Directors for the Hope and Healing Survivor Resource Center, formally known as the Battered Women's Shelter (BWS) and the Rape Crisis Center (RCC) of Medina and Summit Counties.

Applicants will be notified by email shortly after submission. Candidates selected for the Board will be trained at a time that best meets the needs of all participants.

Mission: At Hope and Healing, we are committed to the prevention of violence through social and systemic change and providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive services to survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.

11.The Board of Directors believes that it is important for board members to financially support the needs of the agency through one or more of the following: a) an annual gift, b) connecting the agency with corporations or groups that can make an annual contribution, c) helping to contact groups or individuals who may become long term financial supporters, and d) through the sales of tickets to annual events facilitated by the agency. Do you feel you can commit to this expectation, and how?
12.Hope and Healing Board of Directors has the following sub-committees. Would you have skills or interest in a particular subcommittee assignment? You will learn more about the below sub-committee roles in the candidate training. Therefore, you are not committing at this time.
13.Being on the Board involves committing your time to monthly board meetings, monthly committee meetings, board training, volunteering, etc. Can you commit to the required time commitment to be an involved board member?
