About the SDIS Safety Excellence Award
Organization: In recognition of outstanding commitment or significant contribution by an organization in the area of park and recreation safety. Any Oregon park and recreation organization is eligible to be nominated for this award.
Program: In recognition of programs that provide innovative or significant contributions to safety among Oregon’s park and recreation entities. Programs eligible to be nominated for this award may be internal to a park and recreation agency or offered by another public or private organization.
Nominations are due Friday, August 23, 2019, by 5:00 PM.
To nominate an individual or organization for the SDIS Safety Excellence Award, please answer the following questions and provide any required information as instructed. Contact the Awards Committee at director@orpa.org with any questions about the nomination process.
ORPA Awards will be presented at the 2019 ORPA Conference Awards Luncheon in Portland, Oregon on October 16th. Winners are strongly encouraged to be present to receive their award. If your nominee is selected to receive the award, you will be expected to provide a two- to three-minute video that highlights the winner's contributions. If production of a video is not possible, a 2-3 minute slide presentation with accompanying script may suffice. Videos are not required as part of the nomination process. The video or slide presentation for the winning recipient will be due on Monday, September 30, 2019.
