The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) is requesting your help to:
  • collect operational data to understand air emissions from ships in Australian waters; and
  • collect information to help with oil pollution emergency response planning.
The survey is voluntary and any information made publically available will not identify vessels or vessel specific information, or contain any personal or sensitive information.

Please provide information for either the current or most recent Australian port of call.

You can fill in the survey online or by completing a hard copy (paper) version. It will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.
  • Completed hard copies of the survey can be returned to an AMSA surveyor during your port State control (PSC) inspection or by emailing a scanned copy to Environment.Standards@amsa.gov.au.
  • Online survey can be accessed here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SDHYKFH

You may need to refer to the following documents to complete the survey:

  • most recent Bunker Delivery Note (BDN)
  • International Air Pollution Prevention (IAPP) Certificate
  • International Oil Pollution Prevention (IOPP) Certificate
  • International Energy Efficiency (IEE) Certificate
For domestic commercial vessels operating in Australia under the Marine Safety (Domestic Commercial Vessel) National Law Act 2012, please fill in what applies to your particular situation.

Thank you for your help.
