The South Dakota Department of Education Office of Career & Technical Education invites CTE educators and administrators, school counselors, and postsecondary partners to participate in a number of content standards revision work groups this fall/winter.

Each work group will include up to 20 members, including secondary Career & Technical Education educators, postsecondary faculty, and industry representatives. Other stakeholders who are interested in the process are also encouraged to apply. Applicants will be selected to ensure broad representation of all demographics on each work group.

Revision work groups will conduct their group work on standards via after-school virtual meetings in November and December 2025 and March 2026.

Educators who are not on contract during the work sessions will be compensated for their time at a rate of $175 per day on the days their work groups meet. Participants are all expected to be fully available during their assigned times, without distraction, and able to have their cameras and microphones on for active participation.

The deadline to apply for these November and December work groups is October 10, 2025. Applicants will be notified by the Department of Education Office of Career and Technical Education by October 16 about the roles they have been selected for.
