The 9th annual BCCIE International Education Awards recognizes the professionalism, dedication, and efforts of an exemplary group of experts and practitioners in the ­field of International Education in British Columbia. BCCIE International Education Awards will be decided by a peer committee and awarded in the following categories:

1. Outstanding Program in International Education Award
This is awarded to an institution, district or program to recognize high quality and highly creative programming in International Education.
2. Rising Star in International Education Award
This award recognizes tomorrow’s leaders, our up-and-coming talent, and the next generation of leaders and practitioners in the field of International Education.
3. Excellence in International Education Marketing Award
This award recognizes excellence and success in support of the education export sector in British Columbia and the marketing of our world-class education system.
4. International Education Distinguished Leadership Award
 This award recognizes the unique and important accomplishments and contributions of an international educator or member of the community who has effected change and leadership in the field of International Education in a senior leadership position.
5. International Education Lifetime Achievement Award
This award recognizes the long-term contributions made and the far-reaching impacts realized over a career of commitment to BC’s International Education sector.

Complete the following nomination form for individuals or a program by April 21, 2019. Self-nominations and peer nominations are both welcome.

Note: Please fill out separate nomination forms if you plan to submit more than one application. For Awards 1, 3 and 5, we ask that you nominate only one person.

Eligibility Criteria and Application Process

BCCIE will accept nominations for its 2019 International Education Awards from colleagues working at BC public school districts, government-recognized independent schools within BC, EQA-designated public and private post-secondary institutions and EQA-designated language schools. All nominees must have worked in BC for a minimum of six months prior to the nomination deadline of April 21, 2019.

As the nominator, you are responsible for submitting a complete nomination form and providing reference contact information from at least one additional colleague. Although completed reference letters will not be required in the nomination application, reference(s) are encouraged to provide input when completing the nomination form.

The awards selection committee will consist of fellow BC peers and International Education representatives across all sectors.

The award winners will be recognized at the International Education Awards Banquet on June 25, 2019, as part of BCCIE Summer Conference.
