The Institute for Child Success (ICS) is launching the South Carolina Early Childhood Policy Digest to provide timely updates to funders, policy groups, service providers, and other interested parties on the most important state updates impacting families and children.

ICS is piloting this resource with support from the Mary Black Foundation and other funders. We are inviting you to join as a free subscriber for the duration of this legislative session, with the goal of collecting feedback to improve its efficacy. Next session, this resource will be available through paid subscriptions; while exact rates are still to be determined, it will be a tiered system to allow for no- and low-cost access for smaller organizations in SC.

Subscribers will receive an email update roughly every two weeks throughout the state legislative session with updates on key bills (and agency actions). The digest will include:
  • plain-language updates on the importance of each policy under consideration,
  • updates on hearings, votes, or other events related to the measures,
  • high-level analysis of the likelihood of passage or sentiments shared in response to the policies, and
  • opportunities for engagement for subscribers.
Note that these updates are intended for organizations working on these issues, not individuals. Opportunities for engagement will be focused on levers available to non-profits and foundations within our state.

To join, please provide the following information. You are welcome to share this invitation with others in your network.
