South Central Kansas One Workforce Grant Employer Needs Survey

The Workforce Alliance of South Central Kansas is accepting training requests for the One Workforce Project. The One Workforce Project provides funds for employer-led training, including in-house or custom programs, or through scholarships to local colleges or universities based on employer needs. Funding is only available for Information Technology/Computer Science or Advanced Manufacturing occupations.

The purpose of this survey is to identify regional employer demands for training. A Workforce Alliance representative will follow-up after completion of the survey.

On-the-Job New Hire Training (OJT): Work-based learning provided by the company for new hires. OJT is only available for unemployed or underemployed individuals.

Incumbent Worker Training (IWT): Work-based learning provided by the company or an educational institution for current employees in need of upskilling or reskilling to retain employment or advance into middle- to high-skilled positions.

Short Term Classroom Occupational Training: Scholarships for training provided by an educational institution, where graduates earn a Technical Certificate or Associates Degree.

Mid-Term Classroom Occupational Training: Scholarships for training provided by an educational institution, where graduates earn a Bachelors or Masters Degree or Graduate Level Certificate.
