Mentoring Program Questionnaire

A Mentoring Program is being developed for Sedona Camera Club members. The objective of this program is to provide resources (including 1-to-1 mentoring) for members who desire to improve their photography skills though a number of avenues including direct mentoring relationships with other Club members who are proficient in the skill(s) the member wishes to learn or improve. This program is meant for members of any skill level. None of us are beyond learning something new.

I do not own a camera with interchangeable lenses. I take snapshots and enjoy photography. I might consider getting a camera that has interchangeable lenses.

I have very little understanding of the workings of my interchangeable lens camera. I shoot only or exclusively in Program or Auto mode. I want to learn more about composition, lighting and the capabilities of my camera.

I have a basic understanding of my interchangeable lens camera. I’ve read my manual or other camera specific, photography–related information and can use more than one lens. I know the basics of aperture, shutter speed, composition, and how to use some of the manual settings on my camera. I want to expand my knowledge by going deeper into the capabilities of my camera as well as learning the art of taking quality photographs.

I have a thorough understanding of my camera and the art of photography. I have multiple lenses and can use the manual settings on my camera with ease.
