Moderated Self-Learning Groups - Expression of Interest

Please complete the following Expression of Interest if you wish to join a Moderated Self-Learning Group.

Background

Our ‘Moderated Self-Learning Groups’ will be established when there is sufficient interest under common themes.

Key features include:

•         For individuals who wish to join other like-minded individuals in a ‘safe’ self-help moderated environment

•         Numbers to form a group need to be a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10

•         Participants with similar interests need to be located where they can attend meetings face-to-face

•         Participants need to commit to attend meetings every 4-6 weeks – as determined by the group for 12 months from its establishment and then review

•         Meetings can be held in any convenient location(s) as determined by the group

•         Philanthropy Australia will appoint a moderator to each group and their role is to:
- schedule meetings of the group and send invitations to group members
- assist the group to determine an agenda/theme for each meeting and forward plan meetings
- assist individual members of the group to identify their needs and common interests
- assist group members to source speakers, input and/or relevant resources
- ensure and encourage all group members to engage and derive benefit from being in the group
- maintain an action list for the group

•         All meetings are delivered under ‘Chatham House Rules’

Once we have sufficient numbers for a potential group in a location with common themes/interests – an initial meeting will be hosted by Philanthropy Australia with NO OBLIGATION and if sufficient interest arises from this meeting – then a Moderated Group will be formed, and the Annual Fee will become payable.

Annual Fee:

$3,300 per person – PA Member

$4,400 per person – Non-PA Member
