Welcome to the pre-registration page for the UK Polar Network (UKPN) workshop 'Polar Sedimentary Processes and Archives', hosted by the Polar and Alpine Research Centre (PARC)at Loughborough University on the 18th and 19th of November 2010.

PARC are a group of researchers working on a range of projects in Arctic and Alpine regions. Combined with the UKPN, the early career researcher members of PARC are hosting the second UKPN workshop of the year. The UKPN is an organisation which aims to enthuse the next generation of polar researchers by going into schools and colleges and holding exhibitions at national science festivals, and organising career development activities such as workshops and network days where polar researchers can share ideas and learn new skills.

The conference will host lectures and training seminars and all delegates will be encouraged to do an oral or poster presentation on the theme of 'Polar Sedimentary Processes and Archives'. The conference will be held by the PARC group of the Department of Geography at Loughborough University, which has state of the art conferencing facilities.
