  • Identify the age and capacity requirements in Ontario for consent to treatment, wills, and powers of attorney in young adults.
  • Differentiate between wills, powers of attorney for personal care, and continuing powers of attorney for property for capable young adults.
  • Recognize the legal pathways available when a young adult is incapable, including substitute decision‑making and guardianship options.
