MRUC Health Education for youth and children Manor Road United Church Health Education for youth and children With recent changes to the Ontario Health Curriculum, MRUC is interested in offering a a space for children and youth to learn from a health professional about consent, LGBTQ+, and technology in a safe and informative manner. MRUC is an affirming church in the United Church of Canada, meaning we recognize and value all identities within the LGBTQ+ community. We also value the opportunity to teach about healthy relationship models, consent, along with other important parts of the 2015 Ontario Health curriclum. We would like to learn about the interest within the community for such an opportunity. In early 2019, we would like to offer one or more classes for children and youth, covering what may be missed in the current school system. It would be taught by a health professional or educator. All would be welcome to attend. Please take a few minutes to fill our this survey so we can know more about potential interest in the community. It is confidential and only tells us about what parents want their children to know. We will create our programming as we gather data from this survey.
