Mentor Application Question Title * 1. Thank you for your willingness to be a mentor!The SAIL Mentorship Program objectives are to: Develop supportive and encouraging relationships Guide nurses in their professional, personal, and interpersonal growth Promote mutuality and sharing based on the needs of colleagues Communicate information concerning expectations, learning opportunities, and stressors. Applicants are Registered Nurses employed at NHRMC in good standing within the state of North Carolina and may not be a mentor and preceptor to the same New Graduate at the same time. Applicants agree to a 6 month commitment, and possess many of the following qualities: Commitment to the mission and goals of NHRMC Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Willingness to assist in the mentee’s growth Enthusiasm for the program and it's objectives Ability to think strategically and embrace diversity Ability to help the mentee learn from mistakes Is patient and willing to try different means of reaching out to the mentee Accountability — living up to expectations and meeting deadlines Create time and availability Is personable and approachable Applicant understands that while their time of 1 hour each meeting will be compensated, any funds spent during these meetings will not be reimbursed.
