Explanatory Note to this Online Application Form

Thank you for your interest in applying for admission to the Certificate in Genealogical Research course for entry in 2021.

The Society often receives more applications for the course than it can accept. We therefore ask you to complete the following short survey to assist us in assessing your application. There are no 'right' or 'wrong' answers to any question; this is an opportunity for the Diploma & Certificate Committee to learn a little more about you, your background, your reasons for wanting to do the course and your current level of genealogical knowledge. Each question requires an answer and you can return to an earlier answer and review your response before you lodge your application if you wish. Once submitted your application cannot be retrieved or altered.

As part of this application we will also be asking you to complete a short genealogical question during the application process. To do this you will need to consult the sample newspaper article provided on our website and available at: https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/100241428.
