Undergraduate/Graduate Research/Creativity Support Fund Application Form - Student

Description:

The Office for Student Research and Creativity (OSRC) at John Jay College provides financial assistance to undergraduate and graduate students, or their faculty mentors, to support their research or creative projects. Funds of up to $500 may be requested on a one time basis to cover costs directly associated with student work on a project. Funds must be directly tied to the completion of the student research or creative work. Faculty provided supply money through other John Jay programs (PRISM, McNair, etc.) for the same student and project are not eligible. For faculty working with cohorts of multiple students, OSRC will consider larger requests for support.

Support Fund applications may be submitted any time during the academic year. Applications will be reviewed once per month with the review cycle tied to the first of the month. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Please submit all applications to Bettina Muenster, Office for Student Research & Creativity (OSRC), osrc@jjay.cuny.edu; Room 204.01HH; (212) 887-6237.

Application process:

Both the student and the faculty must submit an application form, including a brief description of the research/creative project, an outline of the student involvement in the project, the number of students affected, a justification for the funds, and any documentation needed to support the request.
