Social enterprises are businesses that exist to create social, environmental or cultural change in the world based on a particular problem or challenge that has been identified. They do this by understanding the challenge, using business (trade) to direct revenue towards solving that problem and doing it in an ethical, sustainable, well governed, empathetic way.
