It is Gryt Health’s Global Virtual Cancer Conference (GVCC) 5th birthday and we are excited to announce our Call for Speakers for 2023. GVCC sessions will take place Friday, November 3rd, and Saturday, November 4th, from 10:00 am EST to 4:00 pm EST each day. Multiple proposals are welcome, but must be submitted separately.

The deadline to submit for the Call for Speakers is Sunday, May 28th, 2023 by 11:59 pm PST. Speakers are welcome to edit incomplete submissions until the deadline, however once a submission is completed, changes or edits cannot be made. All submissions will receive notifications, regardless of status, in June 2023.

Emotion and action are in every initiative we are fortunate enough to be a part of putting out to the world. We lead with empathy in the essential topics we cover, not shying away from challenging subjects. For our annual Global Virtual Cancer Conference, we seek engaging, informational, and community-centered session proposals that will appeal to a global audience.

We ask that you please review our Proposal Guidelines for a full description and information on what we look for in a GVCC session.

Our areas of impact in 2023 are Biomarker Innovation in Oncology and Global Health Equity in Oncology. Submissions will be reviewed by the GRYT Health GVCC Planning Committee. We don’t judge speakers and panelists by how large their following may be, but by their amount of passion and drive. Session ideas outside of the proposed topics above will be considered for other programs, however, cannot be for this year’s conference.

Proposals will be chosen based on the following criteria:
  • Relevance of topic to a global audience
  • Relevance of topic to the GVCC areas of impact for 2023
  • Session design
  • Speaker experience and expertise

At GRYT Health, we believe that lived experience is a crucial consideration when reviewing speaker submissions and we are dedicated to highlighting the voices of those underrepresented and historically excluded in cancer care. We encourage Black, Indigenous, People of Color, LGBTQI2+, and Disabled speakers to submit proposals.

We also recognize the importance of compensating speakers for the time they spend educating others and sharing their experiences at GVCC. If your proposal is selected, each speaker will receive a $250 USD honorarium within 30 days after the conference.

After review, if your session proposal is accepted, our team may reach out to collaboratively make edits to the title and description. We may also reach out to explore the combination of session proposals with similar themes.
