The ALTA Best Practices are designed to protect customers and consumers while safeguarding the livelihood of title agent. In this challenging time of AI and increasingly complex fraud attempts, these protections are important for agencies of all sizes, however small or large.

ALTA is interested in making the ALTA Best Practices better for everyone and that starts with measuring how we’re doing today. We want to collect data on agent experiences to help us make Best Practices easier to implement and follow for every agency, whether for a staff of just a few people or several hundred. ALTA’s goal is to ensure that every agency can chart a path to assess their operations, achieve Best Practices Certification, and maintain their certification to benefit from the important protections that can be achieved by following the Best Practices.
