ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS: Megan Hodge is a Teaching and Learning Librarian at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. She earned her Master of Science in Library Science from the University of North Texas in 2010 and is the 2014-2015 President of the ALA New Members Round Table. In 2011, she was an ALA Emerging Leader and co-founded the Virginia New Members Round Table. Her professional interests are instructional design, services for young/emerging adults, and library human resources. Ms. Hodge’s chapter of The Machiavellian Librarian..
Laura Francabandera is the senior e-learning technology coordinator for Credo Reference, a reference database company dedicated to helping students and libraries do more. After a decade in corporate management, she received her MLIS from San Jose State University. She has presented at ALA Conferences and Charleston Conferences, and has one book chapter in The Machiavellian Librarian, published by Chandos Publishing in 2013. She telecommutes from her home office in Sacramento, CA, with occasional stints in the Credo office in Boston (but ideally not in wintertime). Her husband, Brandin, studies ethics at Fuller Seminary and they have two rambunctious boys.
