A note from the CSE Aware team

There are many reasons why migrant women start selling sex or have to exchange sex for things like a place to sleep, drugs, protection, etc. Yet, in Scotland we know very little about migrant women's experiences of the sex industry, the barriers they face, the support they need and the things that could improve their lives.

We have created this survey to better understand migrant women's experiences of selling and exchanging sex. Our goal is to use this information to create resources and training for services in Scotland, so they can remove barriers for migrant women and make sure they get the support they need.

About us
CSE Aware is a Scotland-based project created to make sure different services know about the needs of women who sell or exchange sex. Women have highlighted these needs through their support work, trough research and also from consultations. CSE Aware has already explored some of these needs in our bulletins, resources and events. Our goal is for services to use this information to improve how they respond to and support women involved in selling or exchanging sex.

Participating in this survey
Your participation in this survey is completely optional and anonymous. We do not record or store any personal or identifying information. All responses are confidential and will only be accessed by the CSE Aware team. The results of this survey will be used to inform our CSE Aware bulletins, resources, education materials and website, and to directly inform services and decision makers of women’s needs. Anonymised responses may also be used in other CSE Aware resources.
