Oregon BEST FEST16 | Volunteer Application

Question Title

* 1. Thank you for expressing interest in volunteering for the Oregon BEST FEST 2016 Conference. As a volunteer you will receive complimentary admission in exchange for your volunteer shifts. Please be prepared to volunteer for 2 shifts between 4-6 hours each, on September 8th & 9th, 2016. We typically need help in the following areas:

- Registration Assistant | Help set up the registration area prior to the start of the conference. Assisting with a variety of tasks such as directing attendees, general registration, badge printing, speaker check in, setup/breakdown, etc.

- Room Monitor | Monitor the session door and answer basic questions about the event. Display time warning cards for speakers, take room counts, run the mic for the Q&A session as well as maintain the drinking water station and assist the stage manager as needed. (These shifts will be on September 9th)

- Floater | Assisting with a variety of tasks such as directing attendees to different programs, restrooms, exhibitor stations and monitoring waste stations.

-Speed Networking Lounge Assistant | Assisting with the operation of the Speed Networking Lounge, where attendees meet briefly with experts seated at tables for 'office hours.'

* 6. As a volunteer you’ll be interacting with conference staff, attendees, sponsors and speakers. Roles vary and may include assisting at registration, helping with set-up and take-down, monitoring break-out session rooms and answering questions from attendees.
