Vashon Town Plan Committee |
Introduction
Thank you for your interest in the Vashon Town Planning Committee and volunteering to serve on the committee.
The Vashon Town Plan committee is a working advisory committee to the board of the Vashon-Maury Community Council. The committee will include 12 to 15 people representing a diversity of interests, disciplines, and community needs. The purpose of the 2023-2024 V-MCC Vashon Town Plan Committee, is to work with King County to modify the Vashon Town Plan to enable more affordable housing while maintaining the town’s rural character. These modifications are intended to be adopted as part of King County’s 2024 Comprehensive Plan Update. The committee will provide local advice, expertise, and recommendations to the Board on these topics. The advisory committee will meet every month from May 2023 through September 2023. Additional meetings may be scheduled as needed. We expect meetings will be in the evening and will be two hours long. All meetings will be open to the public.
